Today, February 4, the Nigerian singer, Ayodeji Ibrahim Balogun known as Wizkid, has been celebrated by fans worldwide.

The starboy that was born on July 16, 1990, has his teeming fans celebrating World Wizkid Day on social media.

In 2018, a former United States governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton, officially set October 6 as Wizkid Day, to honour the singer for his numerous achievements in music and for his role as a culture influencer across the World; but February 4 has been set aside by his fans to celebrate the singer.

The fans have flooded the social media to declare their admiration for the starboy on his day.

AfricanBadgirl wrote: “Wizkid has three days specially dedicated to him!! February 4: Dedicated to him by his fans,
July 16: His birthday, and October 6: Dedicated to him by the state of Minnesota, USA”

Starwiz_Whizboi claimed: “Wizkid is the first and only Afro-pop artist to appear in the Guiness book of world Records #WorldWizkidDay.”

Harry stated: “The man, the legend @wizkidayo. Thank you for your impact in the globalization of Afrobeats.

In the History of Africa, Wizkid became the first Africa to chart of 80 different categories on Billboard, and the first Africa Artist to bag 7 Billboard nominations.

In 2018, Wizkid became one of the highest paid artistes in the world, as he performs at the world top private residence, Umaid Bhawan Palace in India, where he was paid 50 million Rupees($681,200) about #245.9 Million naira.

In 2011,he won the most prestigious international awards, “MOBO”, as the Best Africa Act.

The music icon became the first African artiste to sell out Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.

Wizzy Wizzo signed a one-year Endorsement deal with Pepsi in 2012 reportedly worth $350,000, with a tour to Beirut, Lebanon, and he remains the highest paid Pepsi Ambassador in Africa till date as he renews his contract yearly.

In 2019, TeamWizkidworldwide, issued a Certificate of Honour to Wizkid in recognition of his greatness and contribution to the development of African Music, and as such February 4 was declared as World Wizkid Day.
