In 2018, a former United States governor of Minnesota, Mark Dayton, officially set October 6 as Wizkid Day, to honour the singer for his numerous achievements in music and for his role as a culture influencer across the World; but February 4 has been set aside by his fans to celebrate the singer.
The fans have flooded the social media to declare their admiration for the starboy on his day.

In 2018, Wizkid became one of the highest paid artistes in the world, as he performs at the world top private residence, Umaid Bhawan Palace in India, where he was paid 50 million Rupees($681,200) about #245.9 Million naira.
In 2011,he won the most prestigious international awards, “MOBO”, as the Best Africa Act.
The music icon became the first African artiste to sell out Skyway Theatre in Minneapolis, Minnesota, USA.
