The popular Nigeria actress, Rose Odika, has shared her experience of how her acting career was saved by Dele Odule.
Rose, who has spent over 30 years in the Nigerian movie industry, stated that the veteran actor saved her career that was about to end abruptly many years ago.
She made this closure at the occasion to mark her 32 years on stage and when introducing Dele Odule to the guests.
Rose, who is the current governor of TAMPAN, Oyo State Chapter, said that if not for the intervention of Dele Odule, she wouldn’t be where she is now.
She explained: “When I got married to my ex-husband and I was overwhelmed by love, my ex-husband convinced me to leave acting to focus on my marriage, because he was bothered that I would have too many admirers in the industry and he wasn’t cool with that. I agreed to quit acting because I was in love.”
“After some years, when the lovey-dovey was over, I just realized I needed to go back to my passion. So Chief Dele Odule was the one who came into the picture to talk to my ex-husband on my behalf, he did the magic and he allowed me to go back to acting. If Chief Dele Odule didn’t intervene then, I wouldn’t be where I am today,” she added.
The occasion which took place at Jogor center, Ibadan, witnessed the presence of veteran actors and actresses like Akin Lewis, Yomi Fash Lanso, Tunde Ola-Yusuf, Peju Ogumola, Foluke Daramola, Damola Olatunji, Owolabi Ajasa, Toyosi Adesanya, Laide Bakare.
Also, other members of the TAMPAN Oyo State Chapter were left out as well as friends and fans of Rose Odika.
