Davido Makes History And Celebrates His Gold Record Achievement

The famous Nigerian pop-star, David Adedeji Adeleke popularly known as Davido, has taken to Twitter to celebrate his achievement on his second Gold record.

The musician, who gave God the praise, said that his two solo singles “IF” and “FALL” have gone to Gold in the USA becoming the two Afro beats singles that have gone to Gold in the history of Afro beats.

The award winning singer stated: “My 2nd Gold record !!! Oh God I am Grateful !! The Only two Afro beats solo singles to go Gold in the USA in Afro beats history !! God is good !!! MORE TO COME !”

Davido rose to fame with his hit song “Dami Duro”, the second single from his debut studio album, Omo Baba Olowo, released in 2012.

The single “IF”, that was released in 2017, had generated worldwide social media activities, and won the Best Pop Single and Song of the Year at The Headies in 2018

While, the single “Fall”, also released in 2017, became the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history, and its video got more than 100 million views, becoming the most-viewed video from a Nigerian artist on YouTube.
