The music star was released by the Ghanaian police following a criminal inquiry, which cleared him of suspicion of the murder of his music label boss, Kashy.
According to the Ghanaian police report, Babatunde Micheal Abiodun aka Kashy, invited Barry Jhay to Ghana to record and produce music.
Investigation into the case revealed that Barry Jhay was attacked by Kashy, shortly after Kashy’s girlfriend rushed in to where he was recording a song to report that the deceased, Kashy, was behaving abnormally.
The police report further disclosed that Kashy jumped down from the 4th floor of the hotel they lodged in, 12 minutes after Barry Jhay who he reportedly attacked fled the scene.
It was also learnt that an eyewitness and CCTV footage corroborated the claim.
The singer who made himself available to the police and provided every possible information to aid the investigation, was cleared of any involvement whatsoever in the death of Kashy.
